I am so excited that you started this ladies! What if the book I want to read, if/when it becomes my turn, is a classic, but also was on the Oprah list???? Which criteria will we defer to? Its a classic- so yes, Yay!, or its banned for being on the Oprah list- boo? Can't wait to get home from work to dust off my Brothers K.

Hmmm. That's a tough one Heidi. I am a known Oprah eye roller-- mostly the Oprah culture though. Any of the books that I happen to come across that are on her list I have deemed lame. This does not mean I'm always right and it doesn't mean I never take things back. (The big secret is- if you pick a book that is on her list, I will probably never know.). The question is: what will I do with our public creed? Eh, we can tell people to shove it- rules are made to be broken. It just better be good.
